Conservative Republican Congressman Alan Nunnelee of Mississippi hasn't been in Congress much, since being diagnosed with a brain tumor last spring. He was reelected handily in November, and was sworn in from his hospital room. Now he's been moved to home hospice care.
Though we disagree with many or most of Nunnelee's political views, we believe that anyone who devotes his or her life to public service deserves a measure of respect and thanks. Before being elected to Congress in 2010, Nunnelee served in the Mississippi Senate for 15 years. We honor his years of service, and we extend our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
